So hype dictates what and what is not a full retail release? Since when? The games has been getting 8's and 9's for review scores (although I don't read reviews much) so saying it's poorly reviewed... is an overstatement at MOST. Have we really become a community where anything below a 10 is not a buy?

Also, the game has FAR more content than MK Wii, so how can 10 extra bucks not be justified? I'm sorry brah but you're just not making any sense. Wipeout HD is great, excellent, and I'm glad you can see the epicness in this game (played it at a friend's house), but MNR still has far more content than Wipeout HD... by more than a mile.

In any case, MNR makes games like MK Wii look overpriced, just by the sheer amount of content difference in each. -__- There, see? I can do it too.

I didn't mean to imply that the reviews were terrible, just that they were average, and for my money, to pay full price for a game, it needs to be...well.....really really good. The only things I have to go on, to determine if a game is really really good are reviews, user and critic(and it's more the text then they numbers that I look at, usually), and my own judgements of footage from the game, as well as hype level from the community. Hype doesn't determine anything(shitty games can be hyped very highly). However the PS3 community goes apeshit over the release of even the lowliest exclusive content, and since the hype level for this game has been much lower compared to any other PS3 exclusive I've ever encountered, I can only deduce that people aren't as excited about it as they are about other exclusives or even amazingly, the multiplat RDR which EVERYONE seems to be playing and enjoying this week on this forum.

All of these factors combined, mixed with the fact that a guarnteed very good game that I am currently playing just released for a cheaper price, and also piled on top of the fact that I'm not even a huge racing or LBP fan, mixed in with the fact that people are already screaming for a patch to fix the apparently horrendous loading issues, means that I wouldn't pay full price for this. I wouldn't. The key word being "I"

You might, but I wouldn't, and while I wouldn't warn people against a game I've never played, I certainly wouldn't recommend it as a top pick of anything either. Again, this thread is actually about the OP comparing RDR and MNR, and due to the factor's I've mentioned, he picked up RDR. What I've been talking about is directly related to what this thread is about.

Finally, you can add custom levels to anything and call it "more content." Fact is, I want to play a game, not an engine. I can technically play any game forever, but it's more about the quality of the content than the amount. Generally, professional developers are who I prefer to download content from, not users.

PS: I have no love for MK:Wii. That said, I'm not trying to imply that a game is "better" than MNR in this thread, but I have in other threads, and if you want my opinion of why I'd assume MK:Wii is "better"(which has nothing to do with the quality of the game), this isn't the place to discuss it. Go look at my thread history and you can probably dig up some MNR discussions from me previously that relate to my opinions on the actual nature of the gameplay in both games. You might want to use Dead Space as a search criteria, because I used that game as an example alot when discussing MNR. However, please don't bring that crap in this thread. I've never played MNR, and I can only speculate, which I've repeated in this thread over 10 times now.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
