I love how the only developers who bitch about used game sales are those who lack the talent to make a game that is enjoyable for long periods of time. Of course, if you make a short, shitty game, people will sell it.

Sorry but that is just absolute crap.  All devs suffer from used games sales.   Name any game from any developer and I can find a bunch of used games for sale.   A link you might enjoy especially too.  http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1049457/nintendo-begins-wii-war-on-used-games

You know, WiiSpeak might not be the best argument against used sales, since your link shows that it's immune to used sales and it... well it kind of flopped. Perhaps if people were able to resell the device, there'd be more of them attached to actively played Wii's right now, and perhaps with a higher rate of use, someone would actually make games that use the thing? (yes, I'm making a slight exaggeration there, I think the Wiispeak's lack of success is far deeper and more complicated than that.)

And yes, there are used games from every publisher on shelves, resold by people who then get money to buy more games. Why is it that people assume that every single used game purchased is a loss of one new game sale (despite the fact that many of those customers wouldn't justify paying full price), while all the new game sales generated by giving money to the people that buy new games are completely discounted?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
