Why did you buy a wii?

I always buy Nintendo's consoles usually because they make the best quality hardware and software. But if I had to pick between those options I must say the motion controls are what drove me to purchase my Wii. But lets be honest I am an early adopter every generation so software is not the driving force behind my purchases.
