Less repetitive missions (bank robbery mission was the only really good mission in GTA 4)
A big city, but please also some other areas. Doesn't have to be as big as in San Andreas.
Niko bellic was... well probably better than CJ, but that's not saying much. He always seems to say the same things. Screw this, screw that etc.
shooting/fighting mechanics were a bit slow
