My wife loved to play Animal Crossing. She was addicted, and she can not stand games that have complicated controls. I would also suggest as possibilities: MarioKart, World of Goo, Boom Blox, Wii Sports, and Endless Ocean.
In the absence of evidence to the contrary, always assume you have the upper hand.
