I don't really see a good future for Apple in the real gaming scene. If they were to create a dedicated iPlay or some piece of garbage it would probably run off of iPhone OS (Like the giant iPod Touch known as iPad) and have a few buttons. This will be their justification to charge maybe $200-$300 more than the base iPod Touch. Even worse, an Apple console would have to be at a higher price than PS3 at launch because it has a picture of a fruit on it....

People seem to forget that when Apple launched the iPhone, it was significantly lower in price than similar devices. Keep in mind, the vastly inferior RAZR V3 phone cost over $900 USD less than two years earlier than the iPhone launch. The iPhone is what brought the mobile market down to reasonable prices, mostly because a simple Java-based phone could no longer cost $750 dollars.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
