This is super old news. It is true that Activision said this in their briefing, but their estimates for 2010 were the same when they gave their results through the end of December 2009.
That said, Wii will probably top 12m rather easily in North America and Europe. It only has to sell ~7m-7.5m in North America to get to 12m between the two regions. Could do 8.5m / 6.5m or so.
People are difficult to govern because they have too much knowledge.
