The LED isn't always red either. As mentioned you could have it blue if you wish.

It is also really hard to mess up case replacements. In most cases it is a 10 minute job.

But the official black Wii keeps the sexy blue light!

And? This case mod has interchangable DVD lights, so you can keep it blue if you want.
