360 needs more casual games. The hardcore crowd that aren't fans of fps will probably pick ps3 over 360 since they are the same price and ps3 has more good exclusives. Reach will give it a boost for month, a pricecut and slim model will be great for a few months to a year, but ultimately xbox needs to become more appealing to casuals with its game lineup if it wants to see big growth. I think that is what they will try to do with their next system. Making a very reliable slim will help as well, since 360's image was greatly tarnished due to the rrod fiasco.
