My personal pet peeves with sigs are the messy ones 
Quality assets, proper sizing and no .gifs, thank you very much!
The only time I turned off sigs was when leo-j started posting GoW3 .gifs, and I turned off sigs to avoid them, as I was sure quite a few of them would go there (I was boycotting the game for those of you who are curious, see the sig ).
Trolling in sigs is also a pain a pain in the ass, but it's not really something I notice, as the trolling ones are usually horrible to look at to the point where my eyes just skip over them.
And it seems I'm one of the few people who do something about big sigs, though I don't report it, I just tell people on their wall if the sig isn't within the sizer limit (I suggest including the filze size as a part of this rule. The new site layout we got with VGC2.0 and the badges have given us more space to play with after all).
