Good Point

Pokemon is an incredibly succesful franchise.

People tend not to realise that Nintendo is a toy maker at heart who just happen to be good at producing top notch games and have a loyal hardware following.

Where did you see the 33% ownership detailed ?

According to Wiki; Nintendo, The Pokémon Company and Creatures Inc. all own a third of the I.P each.

True but on closer inspection

Pokemon Company is a Nintendo affiliate - in essence it's still Nintendo, founded by and controlled by.

Creatures Inc is 50 percent owned by Nintendo and 50 percent HAL labs

At worst Pokemon is 5/6 wholly owned by Nintendo !
