Most of the suggestions I'll make have already been mentioned, but I think it is such an interesting topic I'll add it anyway.

- Reformatting Wii Shop Channel- make it more intuitive, allow all companies to be able to add demos if they want, more info on games, have sales and allow permanently discounted prices for older games. Also allow for user ratings and to be able to search by them.

- Get more people to connect the Wii online- Maybe include the USB ethernet cable standard with the system, bring the incentives program to get friends to hook up to the internet to America. Have more retail games take advantage of online play.

- Advertising- On the Wii menu system have adds for new games. Maybe a couple of TV ads. Promotions like the recent 500 points with Monster Hunter Tri preorder/purchase (I think this should be something that Nintendo does more often). Give away Super Mario Bros./NES game for free for downloading Nintendo channel.

I think content wise Nintendo has a really great service, Virtual Console has tons of classics, and WiiWare has became one of my favorite features on Wii because it has tons of unique quality titles. In fact imo the Wii has the best content of the 3 systems as far as downloable games go. But Nintendo stil has a ways to go in learning how to properly market the service.

I think the deal they did with MHTri was smart, too. I agree they should do more of that.

I think getting a free game for downloading the Nintendo Channel would also be a wise move, incentive-wise.

Bah!
