I have heard so much about this game but I have never played a Monster Hunter game before. So I decided to go and pick it up and see what all the fuss was about. I went into the store and saw two versions on the shelf; regular game only version and bundle version with the Classic Controller Pro. I asked the sales kid why would you use an "old" controller with this brand new game? Isn't the Classic Controller for playing Virtual Console games? The sales kid told me that this was a "hard core" game and you needed to use this "Xbox 360 type controller" to be any good at it. So I pick up the bundle version, get home, open the box and read the first part of the manual that states on page 6 "All controls explained in this manual are based off the the Freestyle control scheme (Wii remote + nunchuk). So now I am really confused. The game is bundled with a controller that is suppose to be the best way of playing the game (according to the sales kid) but the manual does not cover how to use said controller.

I will dive into the game this weekend, and I would rather not spend too much time trying both control systems if I do not have to. If there is a clear winner in which controller is best, I will start with that one. If it is too close to call, I wii try both. So I have come here to the oracle of gaming knowledge to find the truth. Cast your vote and give me your impressions, and I thank you in advance for your time.
