Essential individuals to a company's history have a tendency to hang on for quite some time, even if it is just in an advisary role. Chuck Jones for instance created Wile E Coyote and developed Bugs Bunny after Tex Avery left Warner Brothers in 1941, and he never really gave up drawing or creating content until he died in 2002. There were new web-animated cartoons in the early 2000s from his pen.
