I was at a Nintendo event last week for Monster Hunter 3, at the event I got talking to a Nintendo rep and after chatting for a while I asked her if she's seen the new Zelda.
She said she had but couldn't talk about it, but after a few minutes of begging I managed to get her to answer a question I had.
I asked if the new wii Zelda is more like Twilight Princess or the DS games she responded that it’s more like the DS games.
I walked away thinking that’s a shame (im more of a realistic gritty person when it comes to Zelda). But then it dawned on me.... what if she meant playability wise. I have no problem with the DS Zelda’s, I think they’re great but that’s because they're made with the DS in mind. I’m not sure I would be happy with this style of Zelda as a fully fledged console game.
If this is true I think it would be a shame as I think Zelda is one of Nintendo’s only franchises that benefits from being hardcore. I was hoping the new game would be dark like Majoras Mask.
Oh well, there is also the possibility she was blowing smoke up my arse.
