Im sure the Wii online network (or lack of it) is issue 701... just a few more years and Iwata will resolve it.

Why does Nintendo need more than they have?

Maybe for the Wii they don't need more...but they will for the next system. I mean, anyone that has experienced XBL or PSN must have issues with the Wii network. I can't even bring myself to play T vs C knowing that there little to none matchmaking, no voice chat, I can't find people that are good and add them as freinds to play later, insane lag...etc

He means sales-wise, under which case i would agree with him. I agree with you as well that Nintendo's online experience is sadly lacking, and that from the personal perspective's of many they certainly *need* to do more, but where has that contributed to a loss of sales on their part? When you see Nintendo games with great online (MKWii) poor online (Brawl), and no online at all (NSMBWii) all push the 10 million boundary regardless, what kind of message does that send Nintendo?

Online is incidental. That's what *they* see from their perspective on their games.
