It's true, HP is ususlly not to trust when it comes to computers, Dell is even worse.
Acer and Asus are decent when it comes to laptops.

I showed my laptop because it has VERY good performance and features for its price. And looked up Vaio because it was mentioned in the thread

If you google "asus (or acer or another reliable brand) i5 (or i7) dedicated HDMI" you should be able to find a good laptop. I get from re reading the OP that price isn't much of an issue. You should have no problem finding a good laptop with the features you want want in the price range that you mentioned. Just be careful when checking the spec lists. dedicated graphics memory is a must if you want to use it for gaming, and if you want it future-proof, the processor has to be more powerful than a 2.5 GHz dual core. (Wich the i5/i7 series should be according to other posters in the thread) If you are unsure about a processor or graphics card, copypaste it and google it. You should find descriptions about its power. If you can't find out if a graphics card has dedicated graphics memory or not, don't buy it, it likely has shared memory.
