If you look at any entertainment product and if it sells huge in the start and nothing after 2 months, that means people liked it and moved on and that it was nothing special
MF2 got almost 200K combined sales this past week on the PS3 and Xbox360, that means it was well liked game among gamers and that many new fans are picking the game up.
Many many more people bought this game than any shooting game I think off ever. It will continue selling many copies as its the must have game for any person with a XBOX or PS3 now.
Now for the Next Modern Warfare game, average people love it and will come back and buy it. If its really good it will sell similar numbers, but even so 15+ million is assured. Remember this, when the new MF is released many more people will have an XBOX or a PS3, so it can sell more even. This is what happened to GTA on the PS2...
