But I still kinda disagree.  GT5 will do well, but it won't have MoHun/Nintevergreen style legs.  Never has before, and I doubt it will on PS3.

Yeah true, and especially since the series is in decline in japan. However he asked if Sony ever had a game to do that before, now GT was able to do that before, and i still think it can carry the PS3 for 2-3 months. Maybe not the same as the mario effect, or wii series effect, but probably will be the leggiest game on the PS3
