A lot of games that have that much attention do score the 90's or higher so are AAA. It baffles me that there is such a widespread misconception though. exactly. The AAA = +90 didn't really start until this generation, and honstly seemed to have started on some forums (like this one specifically). If you try to look up the definition of AAA on the web, almost every single source will point to what you are claiming, not the meta ranking.
