I got one and I love the bigger screens. The XL quickly became my favourite model.
(I have all 4 and tomorrow I'll lend my DSi to my niece together with her birthday present - Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Picross 3D, so she doesn't have to play her games on her brother's shabby fat model. My sister and her friend already have my original model and the Lite and they can't stop playing Prof. Layton 1+2, though I gave them ~15 different games

I'm currently playing Orcs & Elves on the XL and the bigger screens made me order several other RPGs, which I already had considered buying, incl. my first NA DS imports (I want to play games on the XL now which are not out in Europe such as Sands of Destruction, Wizard of Oz, Nostalgia). These imports also made me realize that the NA DS packaging looks much better.
Meanwhile I even came to terms with the color of my XL (I got the brown one), though I still don't really understand why Nintendo didn't release a black model.
