Lastly, don't you agree that video games are ever evolving? I believe they are. Honestly, coming from someone who'se been around since the NES days, video games are progressively getting better. So don't be surprised if the next generation creates the next "BEST GAME EVER!!!one one"

No its not true, its a highly flawed way of looking at it & I see it as damage control from people who don't understand why people like MGS4 so much.
But this isn't the first time you have done this, every time you do it a thread goes off topic, so thats why I don't want to start this discussion here.

I believe MGS4 is a great title ( As in total package of entertainment with a $60 price tagg). Is it a great game?....Thats up in the air. The fight mechanics were broken, the game more linear than ever and the actual game elements were brief at best before movies stole the show. There were times in the movies I got seriously pissed off watching Raiden have all the fun and I couldn't play as him at least once. It makes me think the more powerful a system gets, the less gaming we have to do.
