I've actually done it for the first time now that I'm playing SoulSilver.
I've... I've named my Pokemon after... *pause* characters from Avatar. Yeah.
Feraligatr: Jake Sully (He's big and blue)
Weavile: Neytiri (She's my only female on the team, and she's sassy. 
)
Gliscor: Seze (Neytiri's Banshee, cause he's a flying type.)
Scizor: Quaritch (Quaritch drives an Amp Suit at the end of the movie, and Scizor's a Steel Pokemon.)
Magmortar: Tsu'tey (They both have faces that make me laugh. 
)
Electivire: Eytukan (He wears elaborate pieces of clothing which are fuzzy... just like Electivire.)
Yes, I'm beyond hope.
