Pretty much this, I have a friend (well not "friend" per se) at the largest Czech retailer (Xzone.cz). And they don't sell basicaly any Wii's and Wii games, all of this is beeing sold in our alternative to Wallmart. There you have Wii and super limited game selection with Nintendo titles, beeing dominated by Mario Kart and NSMBWii, titles like Red Steal have no chance to claim and shelf space, the rest is the worst of shovelware.
And no real gamers buy Wii stuff or games here, everyone have either Xbox or PS3 (or PC, which is still most dominant in our area). It might be different in the west, but this is pretty much the situation from here to the east. Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and the rest to the east are pretty much like this. With PS3 beeing the strongest console, since there have never been the first Xbox and people don't know the brand. But this area isn't tracked by VGChartz so it doesn't matter. I can imagine the "market" here isn't as large as in other western countries like UK or Germany, but Poland has just 8 milions less people and even though their GDP is way smaller, games do sell here.
MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising
