I put 70 hours plus into this game ... only to learn at the end that I had become a villain.
That's what I got for always attacking. Where was the reputation meter?

Invisible. In this game it's referred to as the Chaos Frame

In order to raise it reliably, you needed to act in the interest of the people in different story choices and, morei mportantly, liberate towns.

You liberate towns by freeing them with a unit whose leader's alignment is a rough match to the town's (it's a pretty generous spread, not too tough to pull off).

I know. I read the instructions. The referred to the fact that it was not visible like it is in the SNES game.

My main claim to infamy was attacking units after the leader had been defeated.

I knew what I was doing ... I just didn't realize how much it mattered.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
