Its all how you look at it. Did Muramasa and 428 make money? Sure. But on the most popular console and after being hyped as some of the best games the Wii has to offer....they should have done a lot better. I mean heck, 428 got a perfect score in Famitsu and lots of hype in Japan, and still only sold 150,000 copies. And I'm sure the developers for Muramasa are not complaining about the sales of their game, but its still far from a madly successful Wii game. And Fatal Frame IV is really the best selling game in the series? Last time I checked, it had only sold between 75,000-100,000 total. Looking at all these totals, Little King's Story isn't looking so 'bomb' as before. Its more like Japan just won't touch anything on the Wii without the names Mario, Wii or Resident Evil on the box. |
428 sold 120k on the Wii.............20k on the PS3 and 40k on the PSP.
Muramasa sold 200k+ at a decent price as well (has it dropped below $30 yet?) How was this game supposed to take off anyways? European retailers wouldn't even stock it. Even though it wasn't a Just Dance level hit, it made money.
