Why has Japanese 3rd party support almost completely ceased for the Wii?

Getting Award's also help's with the percieved Value of what the Software is worth.

look while I respect you and All, like I said you May sell great on the Wii, but also on the same token, Movies are made to also get Award's not just money.

3rd parties can't make top ten in this industry. Period. That's why your ranking obsession seems a bit silly.

Grandtheft Auto is the 8th best selling video game franchise at 70 million

the Sim's is the 4th best selling video game franchise franchise at 125 million

can you guess which has the first?

Nintendo with Mario which is 222 million

so don't give me that 3rd party cannot be in the top 10

Eh, you realize it's technically impossible for a PC game to be "3rd party" right?  I mean unless it runs under someone else's subplatform (Steam, GFW, etc)... you can't be "3rd party" on an open format. ;)

And even still, here you have to resort to total franchises (the classification of which can be hugely debatable in itself).  What are the top 10 games?  How many are "3rd party"?  If no 3rd party can crack the top 10, why be a 3rd party at all?  If you can't compete with Nintendo, why make games at all?

well that's if for me, I'm out of this thread seem's like it's everyone else's fault except Nintendo..gotcha,
