Then why did you write "yup" when I asked about marketing, not "No, but they do have to help promote the game"?
But advertising is part marketing, which you later brought up. So claiming you're discussing something different is a lie.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
