it's not an Illusion it's I think has more to do with Nintendo's position on promotion of 3rd party software more than anything.
the very fact that Nintendo seem's to struggle with 3rd party every generation, except for handheld's has to make you wonder why?
why is it that Nintendo handheld's get this great 3rd party support, but yet do you see their DS handheld software for 3rd party get promotion?
but when it come's to the Game console what software get promoted the most on Nintendo machine's?
1st or 3rd party.
