Although, I'm trying to remember if nordlead has done anything like this before, because I'm honestly not surprised that he did it. The only way of me being suspicious of him is that he tried to turn it against trangent, hinting that he was trying to flush a detective role out.

I've not played with nordlead before so I'm a bit useless on this. But I'd like to hear what people think about the point j0 made here.

He's quite right, Nordlead always act like that, BUT that "I don't like encouraging someone to make a stupid decition" is very strange. This is not the first time we do the lie detector thing and unless the a newbie has the role, I don't see how that fits. He does kind of have a point, though, the lie detector role can be as useful as useless (Trust me, I know about it) and you have to chose carefully. But he makes it sound like he hand't liked the idea of everybody giving the lie detector clues.

not really. Zexen tried to get everyone to mass roleclaim once, and again I said that was stupid. I don't know who is what, but right now everyone should be playing as a "townie" Anyone who doesn't want to play as a "townie" is either making a bad decision (in my opinion) or trying to figure out who is a power role. Once the mafia know who a power role is, they know who to target (or who not, if they are looking for the doctor). So, let's just say, the "i'm a zombie" statements are going to come out, no reason to force these things and then ask around for the lie detector/cop/power role the next day. Let the power roles determine when they want to claim something new. Also, don't claim you are vanilla as that just helps the scum.

The only thing the informed minority don't know is the role assignment, which is sometimes the key to winning, and something no one should reveal unless they think it helps the town (or a desperate attempt to stop a lynch )

I say, everyone cast a vote, and we'll learn a lot from it. We might lose a pro-town, but that is the price you have to pay.
