But otherwise, I have a hard time believing a SRPG and a hardcore dungeon crawler (?) sold as much as they did with absolutely no marketing in the West. In VC's case especially, don't you think if the game sold as much as it did Sega would've noted it in their last financial report?

No gamespot got it wrong, it was Sony who said the game sold 250K
not Atlus or gamestop, the article was taken from 1up

and my guess that's the shipped number for Japan + Asia

The game could be overtracked or even undertracked i dont know, but unless some provide a proof they are
