Also heedstone - why would they downgrade to a (magnetic) harddrive? Usually the idea is to put better technologies in your newer consoles.


I don't think a hard-drive would be a downgrade from the meagre amount of storage space available at the moment.  Anyway, I'd expect a huge increase in storge capacity (in some form or another) in nintendos next offering.

Slower read speeds more energy usage more noise more heat sounds like a downgrade to me - I'm hoping the next console has 8-32 gb of flash, depending on when it releases
