Almost the same, but for me the weak point I find is the story....I really don't seem to care for it.
The battle system is amazing, totally opposite of what I thought going in. Also characters aren't bad, much better than the team of misfits in XII and X. Given I still dislike Sazh, and Snow, but it isn't comparable to how much I disliked Tidus and crew, and Vaan and Penolo.

How come you didnt like Tidus and crew? i understand not liking Vaan and Penolo they were completely pointless but i thought FFX characters made sense, apart from Rikku, who i thought kinda just tagged along even if she was Yuna's cousin or something. Auron however is my favourite character ever :D

It might be due to Tidus and Wakka antics really, it just didn't connect with me. The rest were just there, I didn't care for their stories at all.
Similar to Snow, I really don't care about his background or his development. Sazh, I just have some problems with, but that might because he is the comedic relief.
