I'm a little skeptical to think that a new Zelda, SMG2 or Wii Vitality would help hardware sales very much. Just like a new Halo game on the X360 right now would barely move any hardware because everyone that wants to play Halo already owns a X360 (just look at Halo ODST and Wars). You all made the same arguement with New Super Mario Bros. Wii... saying it wouldn't move hardware because Mario fans already had a Wii because of Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart Wii, Super Paper Mario, and every other Mario spinoff game on Wii.

Look how that turned out.

I'm going to call the halo:ODST effect though. Everyone who cares about Zelda or SMG already has a wii, therefore sales will not be boosted by either title.

Fortunately Galaxy 2 and the new Zelda aren't overpriced mission packs, therefore they'll have little in common with ODST's (lack of) hardware boosting ability.

But the people who care about Mario or Zelda already have a wii. The people who do, like myself, but don't have a wii, realise that no matter what the title, the wii is incapable of providing what I consider a good gaming experience in comparison to the rest of the market due to what I consider to be serious hardware limitations.

Slightly fixed. Also, I distinctly recall the exact same argument by a lot of people before NSMBWii came out. This , in conjunction with the argument that everybody who wanted a Wii already got one.
