That's a theory that someone mentioned before but I don't think it's true. It's overly simple. I think it's a case of demographic/interest. If the PS3 currently had double the Wii sales I don't think the crowd on this site would be hugely different. It's more to do with the demographic of Nintendo fans versus PS fans.
Nintendo fans on this site are generally older. This is because the nes and snes were around earlier then the PS1. So it's stands to reason that in general Nintendo has an older fanbase. There are of course exceptions, new fans (Soriku etc.).
What has age got to do with it? Well, I believe that the general demographic interested in games sales data is primarily men, who have been gamers for a long period of time. Nintendo has more fans than either the PS or 360 that fit that catagory best.
If what your saying was true then there should be almost an equal split of 360/Wii fans on this site with a much lower amount of PS fans. (360 has double PS3 sales) Yet that's not the case.
However if you follow my theory, (PS1 was released years before the xbox) then it makes sense why there are very few 360 fans on this site, and explains why PS fans outnumber them.
