Well, I have to correct that a bit.
There aren't any "levels" in the traditional sense, and you will be backtracking a lot (though never too far). But every once in a while, you'll enter a Point of no Return (the game even calls it that!) and if you agree to go through, you'll never be able to go back.
The game doesn't have that much variety so far, but the gameplay is definitely interesting enough to be VERY addictive.
