Current problems:
MS:
- Inability to differentiate themselves from the PC, and ultimately scrapping all PC development because of it.
- Charging for online driving possible customers away
- Over-charging on peripherals etc. Especially the Wi-Fi adapter; a current console should have both LAN and Wi-Fi options. This may come back to bite them in the arse in later gens.
- Too much copy protection on DVDs taking too much space for developers. Going with DVD was fine but when the discs have less space than PS2 and Wii discs on an HD console it starts to become problematic.
- PR can sometimes come off as arrogant when the company has yet to "win" a gen
Sony:
- Very bad advertising this gen, although improving there's not really enough when MS have massive barrages of adverts.
- Some very silly mistakes like this clock thing recently.
- Loss of 3rd-party exclusivity on numerous PS2 franchises
- Is Arc really that impressive? After Natal the hype meter is very low in the general public.
Nintendo:
- Terrible online service. I don't understand how Nintendo can make such wonderful and easy interfaces yet when you go online it fails so horribly.
- Lack of a LAN port
- Have failed to show 3rd-party's why they should be producing core games on Wii.
