GoW3's coming this month. That should do the trick.

His birthday is Late March but I think that he may be already expecting me to get him G.O.W.3 and I want to surprise him a little bit like when I got him L.B.P for Christmas 2008 he was very surprised and he couldn't stop playing it and didn't stop until like January 2010 and it is his most played P.S.3 game of all time easy. Not to say that G.O.W.3 is a 100% no but I wuld rather get him something that he won't expect.

He'd be unpleasantly surprised if you didn't get him GoW3. If you want to surprise him and money is no object, go for the Ultimate Edition.

If you're insistent on it not being GoW3, then I would go with Crack in Time. Or Uncharted 2, because everybody likes that.
