We're headed into a slight lull now, things will pick up somewhat as some of the bigger hitters of Q1 and early Q2 come sailing in but this summer will be exceptionally slow I think.
All in all, I can't see a record braking hardware year this year, in total we might very well end up way below 2009 numbers, none of the consoles have any excuse for not selling well now when considering price, game libraries and peripherals but it still seems like things are going slowly.
All in all, this generation might have peaked last year in total hardware sales year by year, at least it seems like it. At this rate, the next generation will be well underway in 2012 or perhaps even late 2011.
