Very nice my friend. 
I've always chosen the water type in every version thus far, and it's turned out very well. 
My Diamond team is fully EV trained, but I don't think I'll do that in SoulSilver. I'll just go through the adventure with my chosen team and do the best I can with what I have. Either way, it'll be loads of fun.
The best thing about this game is the ability to catch a lot of the Pokemon you couldn't get in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. It's gonna be sweet! ^_^
