On a plane, you are safe from earthquakes.
Everybody around you has been security checked. They don't have guns, knives, swords, scissors or mathematical compasses.
Planes are EXTREMELY rigourously tested. They are resistant to lightning and bulletproof.
To be honest, you're safer on a plane than anywhere else, except maybe alone in a bomb shelter.
