I think the review got some stuff right.
If the game tries to be an interactive movie, then it's plot should indeed be judged by movie standards. I haven't played the game, but if the story is shallow and clichéed as the reviewer said, then I fully support his reasoning and the score that he gave the game.
I would like this game to be compared to Shenmue since the gameplay and overall concept seems so similar to me, but I haven't seen that in any review.
Also, the reviewer said that a fault of the game lies in Quantic Dreams own writing ability. That is really worrying. They could afford all those high end graphics, but not proffessional writers? That's horrible if it's true.
