I don't want to make you look stupid, but before criticizing other people's reading comprehension, you might want to learn what the word "continued..." means.
The original quote is taken from the sixth paragraph on page 2.
As to whether or not it is true, I would say that it is unlikely but certainly not outside the realms of possibility.
