I think one of the reasons twesterm and I may have problems is we both use the Logitech Harmony controllers with the PS3 adapter.

Yeah, forgot to specifically mention that. 

Man, that would be a tough decision-- have the convenience of using my remote but the inconvenience of not starting where I stopped or have the convenience of starting where I stopped but have to use my PS3 controller...I don't know which I would rather have.

well, you and I probably just hit the "ok" button on the controller to play the movie, where as it was mentioned above that you can select the choice, and people just might be doing that instead. Also, the "ok" button may not actually be the same as "x" on a controller. I never played around with it, but I just figured it was a step back in movie player technology.

Obviously I have my controller setup so I can hit triangle, but it wouldn't be my default choice of button presses. I'm going to have to check it out next time I put in a blu-ray movie.
