My sound system won't recognize newer (aka released in/after December '09) Blu Rays, and thus wont play any sound. It's weird though, while I'm in the title screen the music will play... but when I go to the actual movie... Error.

So now I have to rent DVD's for newer movies (boo!)... at least I can still watch The Dark Knight in HD.

In the title screen it is typically stereo, while in the movie it could be one of a few different formats, so it really isn't all that surprising that it works on the titles.

I don't know what kind of sound system you have, but did you try switching your player so it outputs in Linear PCM or Dolby Digital 5.1? Normally the players auto select the output type, but maybe your system doesn't support all the different formats.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
