I think that's actually how Peach pronounced Mario's name in Sunshine though. XD The voiceacting in that game was hilarious.

heehee, i'm just playing. thats how i'e heard most americans say it. they say Mahrio and WArio, whereas i say MArio and WAR-io.

Ah well, it's just that people make names sound really awkward sometimes, even the easy ones.

Let alone the more difficult ones, I can't even begin to remember how many weird versions of names of Zelda characters I've heard over the years, lol.
