Yeah we CAN control shooter games with motion controls; but they are MUCH better with the regular joystick controls. Just look at Call of Duty 4. It came out last year and had 2 years to improve on the original and it wasn't even equal, let alone any better. Motion controls may be better for some genres, but not shooters.

I'm not talking about sales, I'm talking about quality. If you want we could compare Metroid or Red Steel which to games like Bioshock, Killzone 2, etc.

To be honest, that's more to do with development effort and hardware capabilities than control methods.
BioShock on PS3/360 in its exact form, controlled by a Wiimote, would be close to equalling the dual stick versions in quality. Though BioShock isn't really the sort of FPS that motion control would work for. KZ2 isn't, either. CoD4 is. To a lesser extent, Halo is.
