you keep bitching about all those practices but you never would have bought any of those games anyway, so really you're not voting against them because in this world you vote with your wallet.

The people that will actually decide the success of this are the consumers that will purchase the product ( and vote with their wallet).

The same way many consumers voted for MW2..

Do you think that customers are going to vote for those games companies forever? Do you think CoD will always be as successful as it is? Do you think that Assasins Creed is going to keep selling out sequel after sequel? Do you think people will think of Ubisoft as an attractive brand after this kind of behavior?

These companies won't destroy themselves now, but wait a couple of years, and we shall see how things work out for them.

I think the majority of customers won't care or even notice their game connects to the net...

There's a difference between the few ten thousands that are very vocal on the web and the majority of customers at large..(which is getting used to being connected to the net 24/7 thanks to Netflix, internet phone and other things, far more popular than gaming).

You seriously underestimate word of mouth. Just look at Spore as an example. Customers are not as stupid as you think. The game companies will have to give in eventually.

I LOVE ICELAND!
