I have also similar memories about the 3D games, but they killed my favourite genre the 2D platformer so I can't call it my favourite because it's been jaded by that. I also really enjoyed the first level of Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast, that was epic enjoyable. The first memory that comes to mind has to be acheiving super sonic form in Sonic 2, that was a fucken hard challenge back then and it was SOOO worth acheiving... I never wanted to turn my console off. But I think the ultimate memory for me just lies in being a gamer when I was a kid, going around to friends places and beating games like Mario Bros 3, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter 2, UN Squadron, Sonic, Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country's I think will stick in my mind as some of the most enjoyable times of my life :)

Wow, I totally just remembered that feeling of playing that level. Utter awe. Everything about it was just beautiful. For me at least, it was all the more satisfying because the first 3 copies I got of that game were defective. I couldn't play my brand new DC on the first night I got it! Finally I got a working copy on my 4th attempt and the rest was history.

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.
