IGN is wrong. very wrong. And they always will be.

What i think is funny is that you're telling me that i don't know what i like. That's an insult.
The wii not only has a plethora of fantastic games, it's reliable. Yes, the 360 has tons of AAA games and Live provides a very robust online experience. What good is all this, though, if I would have to send my system in to get repaired every year or so for the same problem every time (worst-case scenario)?
All 3 consoles are fantastic machines. They have their strengths and weaknesses. You aren't wrong if you think the Wii's online system could be better. I, however, couldn't care less for it. Don't ever tell me that I'm wrong for believing that. I prefer local multiplayer, and as far as anyone is concerned there should be nothing wrong with that, so just back the hell off.

I am not trying to tell someone that they are wrong. I am trying to tell people that even if you may think against the people at IGN, I think they are right. This thread is to convince you guys that yes, Nintendo is lazy and is not putting the same efforts as before.

Nintendo used to revolutionize gaming through games such as super mario 64 and ocarina of time. They continued to set a standard in genres with games like Mario Galaxy and Brawl. They just have not done that with Mario Bros. Even though NSMBWii is ana amazing game no doubt, I believe it could have been a lot better. That game, if Nintendo put  the "Nintendo" effort, could have been groundbreaking. Adding just 4 player action is all they have done since the last Mario game that is worth noting. Adding a couple new suits isn't that shocking.

Nintendo used to revolutionize gaming, but that is not possible nowadays. I want them to set new standards with games like SMG2 and Zelda Wii and M:OM.

I AM EXTREMELY SORRY TO PEOPLE THAT GOT OFFENDED BY THE TITLE. I DID NOT MEAN ANY HARM. I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU GUYS WHAT I THOUGHT WAS THE TRUTH.

Yeah, reread your thread title, buddy. "no matter what you think, IGN is right." You say nintendo is lazy. You say they aren't taking risks. How does creating a new control method and targeting a new audience not denote risk? You obviously don't understand the business model Nintendo has established. You, who I'm assuming are a "hardcore" gamer, are not what Nintendo is focused on. They want to bring new people into gaming. NSMBWii was mainly an attempt to introduce their mascot to this expanded audience. Not breaking down the fourth wall doesn't make Nintendo lazy. You need to understand that right now.
